easyJet are making some changes to their cabin bag policy to help improve boarding and punctuality and give customers certainty of what they are allowed to bring on board.

For travel before 10th February 2021

For customers travelling before 10th February 2021, our existing cabin bag policy applies. Click here for full details.

For travel from 10th February 2021

For all travel from 10th February 2021, the seat you have booked will determine what bags you are able to bring on board.

Everyone can take one small cabin bag per person on board (maximum size 45 x 36 x 20cm, including any handles or wheels), which must fit under the seat in front of you. That should be enough to bring all the essentials for your journey or for a short trip. There’s no weight limit, but we do ask that you are able to lift and carry your bag yourself.

If you have booked an Up front or Extra legroom seat you can also bring an additional large cabin bag on board.

Customers who have booked an Up front or Extra legroom seat can also bring on board:

  • One additional large cabin bag
  • Maximum size 56 x 45 x 25 cm (including any handles or wheels)
  • Bag must fit in the overhead locker

These seats can be selected at the time of booking, or at any time before you check-in via Manage Bookings, or by contacting our Customer Service Team.

easyJet Plus cardholders and customers who have bought a FLEXI fare can also bring two bags on board. See table below for full details.

easyJet check bag sizes before you board. If your cabin bag is bigger than the maximum size or if you bring a large cabin bag to the departure gate without the correct seat selection, it can’t go in the cabin and we’ll have to check it into the aircraft hold for a charge. Please ensure you check you cabin bag allowance before you travel to avoid any charges. See bags table on our fees and charges page for full details
